Breaking News: “Sheffield Eyeing ‘Awesome’ £20m Striker Amid Uncertainty Over Oli McBurnie’s Future At The Club

Given the uncertainty surrounding Daniel Jebbison and Oli McBurnie’s futures, United is aware that in order to succeed next season, they will need to bolster their striking unit.

Currently, the only striker with a contract with the team that has participated this season is Will Osula.

Due to the conditions of his agreement, Cameron Archer will return to Aston Villa, as will Ben Brereton-Diaz.
Furthermore, Benie Traore will probably be sold as soon as Wilder kicks her out.

Additionally, The Sun reported today that The Blades are interested in Blackburn’s Sammie Szmodics, a striker who has been a revelation in the Championship this year.

With 31 goals scored thus far, the 28-year-old is reportedly being evaluated by Brentford, Luton, and United in the summer.

Naturally, £20 million might provide a challenge for United, who will probably have to wriggle around throughout the summer despite receiving Premier League funding and parachute payments.

Since Szmodics has had his greatest season to date and has demonstrated his ability to compete at the championship level, Chris Wilder will be eager to get him on board.

John Eustace has praised the striker so far this season, and his boss gave him great marks for a performance he gave after becoming a father over night.

“I believe it’s crucial that Sammie Szmodics get a specific message as well. This morning his wife gave birth; he spent yesterday night, at two in the morning, in the hospital and did not get any sleep. When kickoff arrived at 2:00 PM, he declared he was prepared. Eustace said, “His performance today was awesome.”

Therefore, the striker may be the kind of player Wilder is searching for with his next team.

It’s unclear, though, if the board will support such a move.
