Following the team’s 2-1 loss to Southampton over the weekend, a Leeds United supporter went missing. The police are asking the public for assistance in finding this person.
Allyn Grayson was last seen on Saturday, May 4, at approximately 530 p.m. at the Head of Steam bar located in Park Row in Leeds’ downtown. After the Elland Road game, the 50-year-old went to the pub with a companion, but he abruptly left without giving a reason.
A short while later, Allyn, of Rothwell in Leeds, was spotted on CCTV at Lands Lane and Briggate; the picture has been made public by the police in an attempt to locate him.
“It is completely out of character for Allyn to go missing like this, and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to find him,” Leeds District CID Detective Inspector Ciaran Burns stated.
“Anyone who has seen him since Saturday teatime or who has any information that could assist in tracing him is greatly appreciated as his family is anxiously awaiting any news.”
Allyn’s stature is reported to be 5 feet 10 inches, with short, bushy brown hair. He was dressed in an indigo blue pair of pants, a green top, a black Hugo Boss blazer, and white Diadora sneakers with blue and red stripes.
If you have any information, please call 101 and mention May 5 incident number 478 to the police.
