For the 2024 season, the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints is set. Derek Carr is the starting quarterback for now, but Spencer Rattler might have a role down the road. When it comes to winning the NFC South, he is capable of finishing the job.
QB for the Saints is not a star. He’s also not the lowest of the low.
Carr has a restricted range of abilities. He won’t pose a threat to ground defenses and isn’t a particularly good processor.
Despite this, he is among the NFL’s greatest deep ball throwers and did a good job playing for New Orleans in the second part of the previous season. Carr is expected to improve this season rather than decrease thanks to an upgraded offensive strategy.
Carr last year averaged 228 yards via the air per game. He also took good care of the football. The veteran quarterback behind a dynamic offensive line lost three fumbles and only threw eight picks. 25 passing touchdowns was a respectable total, and in 2024 he can get even more.
In addition, Carr had numerous injuries during the season, particularly in the first half. Nevertheless, he persevered and continued to play for the Saints.
For now, it seems insulting, but time will tell if CBS is right about his rating for the next season.
