Despite being on Wednesday’s roster since 2021 and being well-liked in S6, Byers was judged unnecessary by Danny Rohl. He was a success at Bloomfield Road when he was permitted to sign a loan with Blackpool in February.
Despite the Tangerines’ failure to qualify for the League One playoffs, Byers excelled in many all-action midfield performances. He seems unlikely to rejoin the Owls this summer and has reportedly acquired a large following.
The Star claims that Barnsley, Huddersfield, and Rotherham are keeping an eye on the 27-year-old. Following the latter two’s relegation from the second division, all three clubs will participate in League One the following season.
The third team to lose their Championship standing was Birmingham City, who are rumored to be watching Byers. It has also been stated that Blackpool, who signed the midfield player on loan, is considering becoming involved.
Byers could have a shot at the second division, even though League One is reportedly showing the most interest. Oxford United and Bolton Wanderers, who will face off in the League One play-off final, are said to have made inquiries.
With Wednesday, Byers has made 78 appearances and scored 14 goals.
