Just In: NBA Releases Schedule For The Entire Celtics 2024 Finals

  • After defeating the Indiana Pacers in four games on Monday, the Celtics advanced to the NBA Finals for the second time in three years with a 105-102 victory in Game 4. Although Boston’s NBA Finals opponent is still out in the air, the team has finalized its itinerary for their matchup with either the Mavericks or the Wolves. Before hosting Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, June 6 at TD Garden, Boston will have nine days off. After their 2008 championship run, Boston will not have homecourt advantage in the NBA Finals until this year.

With the exception of Games 3 and 4, the series will take place over a two-week period with two days off in between each match. With a right calf strain that has kept him out of action for ten games in a row, Kristaps Porzingis’ impending comeback could benefit from the additional recuperation. Prior to the Celtics’ decisive sweep of the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, the seasoned center, who has been out since May 1st, was hoping to make a comeback. With double-digit victories in each of their games, the Celtics swept the season series against the Mavericks. But since those games, the Mavericks have significantly improved as a result of more effectively integrating their recent trade arrivals, Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington.

The Boston Bruins and Minnesota Twins shared the season series, which featured a Boston overtime loss in Minnesota to start the season and a TD Garden comeback victory in the fourth quarter.
