Under head coach Antonio Pierce, the Las Vegas Raiders are starting a new chapter. The club and fans responded well to the temporary head coach from the previous season, and this summer he was awarded a contract. Without a doubt, the Raiders’ appearance will change significantly from that of Josh McDaniels’ squad.
Rearranging the roster has been a major project for Pierce and the team’s new general manager, Tom Telesco. Along with great defensive lineman Christian Wilkins, Las Vegas got a few good offensive players in free agency. Additionally, they acquired extra firepower in the 2024 NFL Draft by selecting versatile interior lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson and tight end Brock Bowers in the first round. Both ought to start right away.
Although the roster in Las Vegas is starting to take shape, it is still far from complete. With veteran Gardner Minshew and second-year youngster Aidan O’Connell vying for the starting position, quarterback is still up in the air.

Beachum, who is in the last year of his deal, is now ranked lower in Arizona’s depth chart than Jonah Williams. The Cardinals could be keen to trade Beachum in order to obtain something in exchange for his deal.
If Beachum’s price is reasonable, he would be a great addition for the Raiders.
Joe Tryon-Shoyinka – EDGE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After being selected in the first round of the NFL draft, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka has not lived up to the hype in his first two seasons.
Tryon-Shoyinka’s rookie contract has two years remaining, and he also has a fifth-year option. The Bucs haven’t given up on Tryon-Shoyinka entirely, but they did trade up for Chris Braswell in the 2024 NFL Draft with a high draft selection.
Given that the Raiders already have standout Maxx Crosby, you might be asking why they would want to acquire another EDGE. Tyree Wilson, the first-round choice of last year, has experience playing in the interior of the defensive line; it’s feasible that this may be his regular position. With Crosby and Malcolm Koonce out of the picture, Las Vegas would have no known commodities remaining.
Tryon-Shoyinka, a youthful player with promise who can offer depth on defense, would be a good match. At the very least, he would be a tremendous addition as a pass rusher on third downs.
Similar to all these potential actions, the price must be appropriate. But with his first-round pedigree and the remaining years on his deal, Tryon-Shoyinka may come at a fair price.
Caleb Farley – CB – Tennessee Titans
Caleb Farley’s brief NFL career has been marred by a number of ailments. Farley was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2021 draft, although they haven’t seen much from him.
By declining Farley’s option for a fifth year, the Titans have made it clear that they have no intention of keeping him around. Considering that Brian Callahan, the new head coach of the Titans, did not pick him, this makes even more sense.
If the Raiders are shrewd with their trade conditions, Farley may wind up costing them nothing at all. He would probably be an inexpensive acquisition.
Farley would make the same proposal for a reclamation project as Jack Jones did the previous year. If nothing else, it could be wise to add Farley to provide depth at cornerback.
