Shocking: Another Key Player With 32 Tackles And 1.5 Sacks Of Green Bay Packers “Set For Workout With Cowboys”

Unusually for them, the Dallas Cowboys have had the most silent offseason in the NFL and have spent the least amount of money in free agency.

The Cowboys are allegedly working out a former Green Bay Packers defense in an effort to bolster their squad even with the majority of free agency behind them.

UFL star defensive end Jonathan Garvin, who is just 24 years old and coming off a successful season with the UFL champion Birmingham Stallions, is being worked out by the Cowboys, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Despite only being 24 years old, Garvin has already spent three seasons with the Packers after being selected in the seventh round of the 2020 draft.

During his three years with Green Bay, Garvin racked up 32 tackles and 1.5 sacks; this past season, he has 20 tackles and 3.5 sacks with Birmingham.

Gareon Conley, a former first-round selection of the Las Vegas Raiders who hasn’t played in the NFL since 2019, is another UFL star whom Dallas signed yesterday.

It’s encouraging to see UFL players get attention from the NFL, as clubs were evidently watching Sunday’s UFL Championship game between the San Antonio Brahmas and Birmingham.

Garvin may be a useful depth addition to this defense, but it’s unknown what his current deal is or whether he has a realistic chance of making the squad.

After losing Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr. to the Washington Commanders in free agency, Dallas could use the assistance.
