With the commitment of San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius offensive tackle John Mills on Monday, the Texas Longhorns’ summer official visit season paid off once more. This adds another large person to offensive coach Kyle Flood’s future position room.
Following formal visits to the Forty Acres ten days ago, as well as excursions to California, Florida, Nebraska, and Washington, the 6’6″, 320-pound player committed to Texas. As of last September, when the Longhorns formally began recruiting Mills, he has had 16 offers in all.
In the 2025 cycle, Mills becomes the 12th pledge for Texas and the fourth offensive lineman, following Jackson Christian of Port Neches-Groves and the Coleman twins from Cedar Hill, Jordan and Devin. In terms of national rankings, the class is ranked No. 16 by 247Sports Composite.
