Christian McCaffrey wore a wedding band on Saturday after missing out on a Super Bowl ring with the 49ers in February.
On June 29, the 49ers star running back wed model Olivia Culpo, his longtime girlfriend, in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Vogue magazine posted pictures of Culpo’s outfit on Instagram.
The couple began dating in 2019 and declared their engagement in April of 2023.
McCaffrey is not the first prominent 49er to get married this offseason; in March, quarterback Brock Purdy wed Jenna Brandt, his college sweetheart.
Speaking about his San Francisco teammates, McCaffrey’s wedding was attended by a number of other 49ers players. Kyle Juszczyk’s wife, Kristin Juszczyk, shared pictures of the event on Instagram, where tight end George Kittle and his spouse Claire were also included.
Another photo from the wedding that has been making the rounds on the Internet is Kittle and Juszczyk standing next to 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan. What’s notable about this photo is that Shanahan has a fresh mustache on his face.
Maybe Shanahan’s new mustache will prove to be the missing component in this season’s Lombardi Trophy jigsaw. Or perhaps McCaffrey’s wedding band gives him the advantage over receiving a Super Bowl ring in addition to it.
