Way back in April 2023, Kingsland, Georgia, Camden County tight end Elyiss Williams announced Dawgs247 he had committed to Georgia, landing the university a five-star recruit for its 2025 class. Since then, several clubs have made an effort to persuade Williams to change his mind. One such attempt was to have the star athlete pay them a formal visit this month. Williams closed it down after his official visit to Georgia, so that did not occur.
Williams said to Dawgs247, “To be honest, I’m still completely locked in.” “I think my level of commitment has increased from before. I’ve been locked in for a year now, which makes me even more dedicated.”

Georgia assistant Todd Hartley, since returning to Athens during the 2020 recruiting cycle, has signed Darnell Washington, the No. 3 tight end in the 2020 cycle, Brock Bowers, the No. 2 tight end in the 2021 class, Oscar Delp, the No. 1 tight end in the 2022 class, Lawson Luckie, the No. 2 and No. 5 tight ends in the 2023 class, Jaden Reddell, the No. 7 tight end in the 2024 class, and Colten Heinrich. In the 2025 cycle, Hartley has now reloaded once again, adding four-star Ethan Barbour of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Williams, the tight end with the highest rating.
Williams was the subject of a scouting report from 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks in July 2023, which Dawgs247 obtained.
