Just In: Lakers Coach Confirm Contract Extension For $104 million of A Key Superstar Player For Years

According to ESPN sources, LeBron James has consented to a two-year contract with a potential value of $104 million in order to rejoin the Lakers.

According to reports, there is a no-trade provision and a player option for the 2025–2026 campaign in the agreement.

This comes after Los Angeles unveiled their new roster, which included Dalton Knecht and Bronny, James’ son.Last week, L.A. selected James’ oldest son, James Jr., with the No. 55 selection in the NBA draft’s second round.

James will be able to play with his kid Bronny whenever he returns to Los Angeles. In the history of the NBA, this would be the first time a father and son team had played together.

James opted out of the $51.4 million last year of his deal with the Lakers for the 2024–25 season last week. As they attempted to come to a new agreement, James’ agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, had stated that James was “prioritizing a roster improvement”.

James, who turns 40 on December 30, is regarded by everybody as being among the best players to have ever set foot on a basketball floor. The sole player in NBA history to score more than 40,000 points, he ranks seventh all-time in assists, fourth in steals, sixth in made 3-pointers, and third in made free throws.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, whom James had previously surpassed for the all-time scoring record, was surpassed by James to become the first player in NBA history to be selected to 20 All-Star teams last season. James also holds the record for most All-NBA choices (20) and first-team All-NBA selections (13).
