Although his time as a college student is over, former Wisconsin Badgers forward Tyler Wahl will play in the 2025 NBA Summer League this year for the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking his first NBA opportunity.
It’s strange that Wahl, a Lakeville, Minnesota native, is playing for his hometown club again after playing his second-to-last NCAA game at the Target Center for the Big Ten Tournament in Minnesota.
Wahl, a five-year member of the Badgers, had his most productive season as a player at Wisconsin, averaging 10.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals while shooting 53.5 percent from the floor.
Wahl finished his tenure at Wisconsin with many record breaks this year, and he was an honorable mention selection on the All-Big Ten team twice during his time as a Badger.
The summer league this year is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 12 to July 22.
