Depth forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan has agreed to a two-year deal worth $775,000 per year with the Winnipeg Jets. In his first season with Winnipeg, the deal will be two-way; however, in his second season, it will be one-way.
The Los Angeles Kings selected 24-year-old Anderson-Dolan 41st overall in the second round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. During his five seasons with the Spokane Chiefs, he scored 76 points (39G, 37A) and 91 points (40G, 51A) in 72 and 70 games, respectively, in his third and fourth seasons.
In the 2017–18 season, he played for the Ontario Reign and experienced his first taste of professional hockey. A year later, he made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings.
With this acquisition, the Moose get a powerful scorer and a possible recall candidate in the unlikely event of an injury or other uncontrollable condition.
The youngster, who was born in Calgary, Alberta, has plenty of time to grow into the prospect the Winnipeg Jets had envisioned when they first selected him in the draft.
