Done Deal: Michigan Wolverines Confirmed The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Star Players

After some time, Michigan football has begun to assemble a strong class of 2025 recruits. With the addition of three-star wide receiver Phillip Wright on Saturday, the Wolverines acquired their sixteenth commitment, and they may soon add to that number once again.

Wright has the ability to easily outperform his rating even if he is one of Michigan football’s lowest-ranked commits in the 2025 class. Late on, LSU put a lot of pressure on him, and Georgia was also considering him.

Thus far in the 2025 class, new secondary coach Lamar Morgan has acquired some big fish at safety by trading for Notre Dame defensive back Ivan Taylor, ranked in the top 100, and Kainoa Winston, ranked among the top 100 overall prospects.

Morgan is now focused on cornerback. Although the Wolverines have struggled recently at the position, Jayden Sanders has become a priority target in recent weeks. At the end of July, Sanders will pay Michigan football an official visit during the yearly recruiting BBQ.

That in itself was encouraging for the Wolverines. However, the Kilgore, Texas-born, 6-foot-2, 175-pound cornerback also informed Steve Wiltfong of On3.com that he will make a choice shortly after visiting Michigan.

The recruit ranked 317th overall in the 2025 class is also giving Oklahoma State, Baylor, TCU, and Vanderbilt consideration. Although it doesn’t seem like a very strong list, Baylor just signed four-star wide receiver Taz Williams, who was previously expected to play football for Michigan.Michigan football lands 4-star safety Kainoa WinstonThere is NOTHING to favor Baylor. In that regard, the Wolverines have improved, or at the very least, have something to offer prospective players. With a decision expected in early August, this visit at the end of the month feels like an opportunity to close the deal. It appears that another high-profile commitment is imminent.
