Barnsley had reportedly expressed interest in the Dublin-born attacker, while Wrexham had also been mentioned as a potential suitor. Nevertheless, Bristol Rovers has obtained the 23-year-old’s services for an unknown sum.
He has agreed to a three-year contract with Memorial Stadium, with the possibility of a four-year extension.
“I’m really excited and really, really happy to be here,” Omochere stated in a statement posted on the official Bristol Rovers website. It pleases me to close the transaction and cross the finish line.
This place exudes ambition. I have a well-defined strategy for myself when I join the squad, and I believe the playing style will be a great fit for me. Rovers has a clear plan, which is one of the reasons I selected them. It’s a very thrilling development.
“I’m eager to demonstrate my abilities, and I want to get started and contribute significantly to the team by scoring goals.”
Omochere began his professional career at Bohemians in his home Republic of Ireland before relocating to Fleetwood in 2022. In 71 club appearances over the course of two years, he scored 13 goals.
“We are delighted to welcome Promise to Bristol Rovers,” said Matt Taylor, the head of gas. We are excited to watch Promise’s excellent characteristics develop throughout his time with us. He demonstrated them in both of his games against us last season.
“Over the previous two League One seasons, he has demonstrated his offensive potential. At 23, he still has a lot of space to develop and get even better. We are excited to work with Promise since he will be a valuable addition to our forward line and give an exciting group of attacking players balance and competitiveness.
