Sad: Just In, TCU Top Rated Player No More With The Squad Revealed By Team

Earlier this week, four pitchers from TCU baseball were taken in the 2024 MLB Draft. But the Horned Frogs are still active, as right-hander Hunter Hodges recently signed an undrafted free agency deal with the New York Mets. Hodges follows in the footsteps of former TCU right-hander Luke Savage, who joined the Texas Rangers following his undrafted status in the previous summer. Hodges played for the Horned Frogs for two seasons, finishing 2024 with a 1.86 ERA over 19.1 innings with 33 strikeouts and 13 walks.

Hodges started his undergraduate career at UNC-Wilmington, where he pitched 69.2 innings and finished 5-5 with a 4.25 ERA and 103 strikeouts. Hodges received honors as a 2022 Honorable Mention All-CAA and 2021 First-Team All-CAA.
