As Buffalo prepares for its last preseason game on Saturday, they are adding a quarterback to the roster in lieu of backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who is out due to a knee injury. Anthony Brown was signed by the Bills on Tuesday.
The Bills dismissed or injured wide receiver Lawrence Keys III to create place for Brown.
Before being waived last week, Brown most recently played for the Las Vegas Raiders over the summer.
In 2022, the quarterback began playing in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens. Brown completed 22 of 49 throws for 302 yards while playing in two games and starting one. He was a member of the Baltimore practice squad in 2023.
The 26-year-old Brown played at the University of Oregon (2020–21) and Boston College (2016–19) as an undrafted free agent.
