Breaking: Crimson Tide Officially Announced The Cut Of Deal With Another Veteran Star

After winning a championship with the Birmingham Stallions, Deonte Brown decided to give the United Football League another go. However, in 2024, he only participated in one regular-season game.

The UFL declared on Wednesday that the former Alabama guard had re-signed with the Stallions.

Brown played his first game as a left guard for Birmingham in the 2024 spring football season after spending three seasons with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. However, Brown suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of the Stallions’ 27-14 victory over the Arlington Renegades on March 30, forcing him to be placed on injured reserve.

The rest of the regular season was lost by Brown. Returned in reserve positions for the USFL Conference Championship Game on June 8 (31-18 victory over the Michigan Panthers) and the UFL Championship Game on June 16 (25-5-0 victory over the San Antonio Brahmas).

Austin High School in Decatur advanced to the AHSAA Class 6A semifinals in 2015, and Brown was named the Class 6A Lineman of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.

Partway through the 2018 season, Brown started at Alabama for the first time. Alabama defeated Ohio State 52–24 in the CFP national championship game to wrap up an undefeated 2020 campaign in Brown’s last game with the Crimson Tide.

Brown was selected by the Panthers in the sixth round of the NFL Draft in 2021. He participated in three Carolina regular-season games.
