Erik Ezukanma, a wide receiver for the Dolphins, is a trade candidate that the Los Angeles Chargers or Baltimore Ravens may make before the regular season ends. According to a Bleacher Report story, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle’s rise has created intense competition for wide receivers, therefore the Dolphins may consider trading one of their players. Ezukanma’s situation isn’t getting any better after the Dolphins signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year contract in an effort to strengthen their passing offense. The previous NFL Draft pick in the fourth round from 2022 was hoping to gain some experience under Mike McDaniel, but injuries have been delaying his progress.
For the wideout, it’s the same story because he hasn’t been able to demonstrate that he is a trustworthy athlete who can contribute to the team’s long-term success. The good news is that they should put him on the trade block before his value drops, according to a source. Because there are already skilled wide receivers in the area and because he is unable to stay fit for the entire season, Ezukanma does not receive the snaps. When his rookie deal expires, his value in the Dolphins’ atmosphere may gradually cause him to lose out on NFL opportunities.
The Chargers need a solution right now, and while Ezukanma might not deliver it right away, he gives Justin Herbert a slant receiver who can provide him some promise in the passing game.
While nobody should expect Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston to succeed Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, it could be wise to rebuild the offense around Ladd McConkey and Ezukanma? Nelson Agholor is only signed for one season, so the Ravens could use some fresh talent to aid him in the slot. However, at his age, Ezukanma could be a more consistent slant wideout for longer.
If Kansas City loses wideouts in addition to Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown, their offense appears vulnerable. To replace Kadarius Toney, who is now on the roster bubble, and provide Skyy Moore with some new insurance, it seems sense to add someone like Ezukanma.
It could be preferable for these two to forge a solid rapport behind the still-developing Mecole Hardman and Xavier Worthy. If the club hopes to succeed in the long run, they must not rely solely on Travis Kelce, even though it won’t happen right now.
