JUST IN: Miami Marlins Claimed Another High Rated Superstar Fans Fav. In Addition To The bullpen depth And Designate Three

The Miami Marlins have had a busy day thus far. Now it’s even more hectic! There have been other roster changes, which we will now go over in detail. One of them concerns the potential superstar’s comeback to the team. Whoa, man. We have a lot to get through, so buckle up for a trip!

Let us begin with the most exciting news. SS Reinstated from the 10-day injury list is Xavier Edwards! This is fantastic news since in 47 games and 172 AB, Edwards has been hitting an amazing.349/.428/.436 with 17 RBI and a home run. But he also has an incredible 22 stolen bases.

The Miami Marlins claimed LHP Anthony Veneziano from the Kansas City Royals, increasing the depth of the bullpen. The 27-year-old made just two appearances and two innings of relief this season, pitching to a 4.50 ERA/2.68 FIP, 9.0 K/9, and 4.5 BB/9. Despite the extremely tiny sample size, the strikeout rate and FIP are quite encouraging. When he is called up to the Major Leagues, let’s hope he has some surprises in store for us.

Josh Simpson, another left-handed reliever, was sent back to the Minor Leagues after being activated from the 15-day injured list. Despite getting called up earlier in the season, he has not yet made a major league pitch. Emmanuel Ramirez, a righty reliever, has been assigned to another team. Pitched 20.2 innings across 15 games, giving up 9.1 K/9 and 3.5 BB/9, with a 6.97 ERA/4.63 FIP. With the exception of his strikeout rate, the 30-year-old has performed poorly.

Is it time for the KC Royals to give this pitcher a real shot?
After pitching 17.2 innings in 12 games, left-handed relief pitcher Kent Emanuel has a dismal 6.62 ERA/6.46 FIP, 6.1 K/9, and 3.6 BB/9. It makes sense that he has also been assigned. Anthony Maldonado, a righty reliever, has been called up to the Major Leagues. With 5.5 K/9 and 3.5 B/9 in 11 games and 13.0 innings worked this season, he has a dismal 6.23 ERA/4.10 FIP. At best, the FIP shows some promise.

Last but not least, backup C Ali Sanchez has also been assigned. In 31 games and 84 AB this season, he batted.167/.211/.190 with 4 RBI and 0 home homers. Put another way, he’s been terrible. The Miami Marlins may still be adjusting their roster, in my opinion.
