According to sources, former San Diego State forward Jaedon LeDee has committed to a Timberwolves Exhibit 10 contract, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link) has learned.
LeDee, 25, was not taken in this year’s draft and then signed with Minnesota’s Summer League squad. In his five appearances in Las Vegas, he averaged 9.8 minutes per night, 2.6 points, and 2.0 rebounds.
LeDee won the Karl Malone Award as the top power forward in college basketball during his final year with the Aztecs. After averaging 21.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 36 games, he was also chosen as a second-team All-American by the Sporting News and the NABC. The Associated Press chose him for the third team.
After his rookie season, LeDee went to TCU, where he had started his college career at Ohio State. Two years later, he transferred to San Diego State, where he was a member of the 2023 Final Four squad. In order to play one more season of collegiate ball, he retracted his initial 2023 draft declaration.
With LeDee’s signing, Minnesota will have 21 players on the roster come off-season.
