**Vancouver, B.C.** – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the team has signed goaltender Kevin Lankinen to a one-year contract worth $875,000.
“Kevin is an experienced NHL player who will enhance our depth in goal,” Allvin stated. “He had a strong season in Nashville last year and possesses the size and skill set we value in a netminder. We’re excited to welcome him and start working with our group.”
Lankinen, 29, played in 24 games for the Nashville Predators during the 2023-24 season, achieving an 11-6-0 record with a 2.82 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage, including one shutout.
Standing 6’2″ and weighing 190 lbs, Lankinen has a total of 112 career regular-season games under his belt, split between the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators. His overall record is 45-43-12, with a 3.07 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage, and three shutouts.
Lankinen initially joined the NHL as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Chicago Blackhawks on May 21, 2018.
