**VEGAS (October 4, 2024)** – Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today that forward Tanner Pearson has been signed to a one-year contract worth an average annual value of $775,000 for the 2024-25 NHL season. Pearson had been participating in the team’s training camp on a professional tryout.
The 32-year-old has played in four of the Golden Knights’ five preseason games, contributing three points (2 goals, 1 assist) and a +4 rating. Over the course of his 11-season NHL career, Pearson has played 644 games with the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, and Montreal Canadiens. Last season, he appeared in 54 games with Montreal, where he recorded 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists). Pearson notably achieved a career-high of 45 points (21 goals, 24 assists) during the shortened 2019-20 season with Vancouver. He began his NHL journey with the Kings, accumulating 144 points (69 goals, 75 assists) in 325 games over six seasons, including three seasons alongside defenseman Brayden McNabb.
Pearson also has playoff experience, having played 51 games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He was part of the Kings’ championship team in 2014, contributing 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists) during their playoff run. Drafted by Los Angeles in the first round (30th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Pearson brings a wealth of experience to the Golden Knights.
