Just In: Good News As Canucks Reached Agreement With Another Veteran Superstar On Three-Year Entry-Level Deal

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced that the team has signed forward Vilmer Alriksson to a three-year entry-level contract.

“Vilmer had a strong training camp and is continuing to develop,” said Allvin. “We appreciate his size, skating skills, and overall talent. We will keep track of his progress this year and support him as he works towards advancing his hockey career.”

Alriksson, 19, recently wrapped up his first season in the OHL with the Guelph Storm, where he achieved a career-high 33 points (17 goals, 16 assists) and served 35 penalty minutes over 67 games. He also added a point (1 goal) in four playoff games with the Storm.

Before joining the OHL, the Stockholm native played 43 games for Djurgardens Jr., tallying 21 points (12 goals, 9 assists) and 22 penalty minutes.

The 6’6”, 234-pound forward was selected by Vancouver in the fourth round, 107th overall, in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
