This move follows the Bruins’ acquisition of goaltender Jiri Patera via waivers, making DiPietro’s waiver placement expected. Last season, DiPietro played 30 games for the Providence Bruins, achieving an 18-9-2 record with a .918 save percentage and a 2.51 goals-against average. Lettieri joined the Bruins in the off-season through a trade with the Minnesota Wild involving Jakub Lauko. The 29-year-old played 46 games for the Wild last season, scoring five goals and totaling nine points, along with eight points in 10 games with the Iowa Wild.

Oesterle, who signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Bruins this summer, played 22 games for the Calgary Flames last season, recording two assists and a minus-6 rating, and tallied 19 points in 30 games with the Calgary Wranglers.
