Sad; Bills As Shocked With News Of Rookie Running Back Superstar Out with Concussion in Wild-Card Clash Against Broncos, Backup Ty Johnson Steps In……

Davis has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s AFC wild-card game against the Broncos after being diagnosed with a concussion. The injury occurred in the third quarter when Davis, attempting to catch a pass from Josh Allen, took a hard hit to the head from Brandon Jones. The play resulted in an unnecessary roughness penalty against Jones. Davis remained on the field for a prolonged period but eventually walked to the sidelines before being escorted to the locker room for evaluation.

With Davis sidelined, Ty Johnson will step in as the backup running back behind James Cook for the rest of the game. If the Bills advance to the divisional round, Davis will need to complete the NFL’s rigorous five-step concussion protocol to be eligible to return.

Davis, a promising rookie, was selected by the Bills in the fourth round of April’s draft as the 128th overall pick. He made a name for himself in college football, rushing for over 1,100 yards last season at the University of Kentucky after achieving a similar feat the previous year at Vanderbilt. In addition to his ground game, Davis has shown his versatility as a capable pass-catcher, making him a valuable asset in Buffalo’s offense.

However, the Bills’ backfield is currently led by James Cook, leaving Davis and Ty Johnson competing for secondary roles. While Davis has potential, he’s not considered a key target in redraft fantasy leagues at this time.
