Just In; Just Now, Ohio State Announced Commiting Another Four-star Veteran Superstar To Buster Their

Ohio State secured a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Tucker Smith on Wednesday, continuing its strong recruiting push for the offensive line. Smith, ranked No. 799 overall and No. 71 among interior linemen in the 2026 class by 247Sports, made his decision shortly after visiting campus and receiving a scholarship offer. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound lineman from Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Glendale, Arizona, has emerged as a late-blooming prospect, picking up his first FBS offers from Arizona and Arizona State in October.

Initially expected to stay on the West Coast, Smith was swayed by Ohio State offensive line coach Tyler Bowen’s recruiting efforts. His versatility allows him to play multiple positions on the line, making him a valuable addition alongside tackle Sam Greer and fellow lineman Maxwell Riley. With months left in the recruiting cycle, Ohio State is well-positioned to continue strengthening its offensive front.

Smith’s commitment highlights Bowen’s impact in reshaping the Buckeyes’ recruiting approach, already matching the number of offensive line commits from the entire 2025 cycle by late March. This early success allows Ohio State to pursue top national prospects without the pressure of relying on a single recruit. Smith’s addition caps off a successful March for Bowen and further solidifies Ohio State’s offensive line for the future.
