Milwaukee Bucks’ star forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo, will miss the upcoming game against the Denver Nuggets due to a left foot sprain sustained during Monday’s 108-106 loss to the Phoenix Suns. In that game, Antetokounmpo contributed 31 points and 10 rebounds over 37 minutes.

This marks his first absence since February 12. Currently, the Bucks have not provided a specific timeline for his return. Recovery from a mild foot sprain typically ranges from one to two weeks, but the exact duration depends on the injury’s severity.

Antetokounmpo has participated in 59 games this season, averaging 30.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. To remain eligible for postseason awards, he must appear in at least six of the Bucks’ final 11 games to meet the NBA’s 65-game requirement.

The Bucks are also grappling with the indefinite absence of guard Damian Lillard, who has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf. Despite these challenges, the team aims to maintain its position in the Eastern Conference standings as the playoffs approach.
