Breaking: In Preparation To 2024 All-Star Game, LA Dodgers Has Committed Another Top Veteran Player

The Clemson Tigers pledge Chase Harlan was chosen by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2024 MLB Draft, thus it’s possible that he won’t get the opportunity to play for one of the best ACC schools in 2024. He was selected in the third round with the 98th overall pick.

Despite having had his name called in this year’s draft, the product of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, has the option to play for head coach Erik Bakich and Clemson the next season rather than going pro if he chooses to delay.

Harlan could play both infield and outfield and shown range on defense. Aside from playing third base, he also played different positions in the infield during his time as an outfielder at Central-Bucks East High School.

Wiggins is ranked 79th overall as he enters the 2024 draft. He possesses an arsenal of pitches and a huge arm that can reach the upper nineties, according to their footage. It is hoped and expected that Carson Wiggins, a player in the Chicago Cubs farm system, has an outstanding arm that rivals or surpasses that of his brother Jaxon.

MLB.com states that “sometimes it’s not just about how a prospect performs on the summer showcase circuit, but how he adjusts over it.” While Harlan, Pennsylvania’s top position player for the 2024 Draft, had some impressive offensive skills during the Perfect Game, the Area Code Games, and the East Coast Pro Showcase Scouts were intrigued by the way he adjusted and altered throughout the September WWBA World Championship, despite some being worried about his apparent lack of athleticism and flexibility this spring.

Central Bucks East's Chase Harlan drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the third round
“Harlan is a large, robust, well-developed corner infielder with excellent pop. With a little bit more strength than bat speed, he had a power-over-hit profile; yet, there is hope that the bat will someday match the raw power. He batted from a crouch with a lower handset at the start of the summer, but by the time he was in Jupiter for the Perfect Game tournament, he had lifted his hands again and was using them more freely, demonstrating an improved hit tool all around.

“Harlan’s game doesn’t revolve around speed, although he has demonstrated respectable run speeds and fair athleticism in the past. Despite having an average arm and a good chance of staying at third base, he appeared less nimble and more bulked up in the early part of this spring. He should have more than enough bat to profile well at the hot corner if the swing shifts direction.
