LAS VEGAS – In response to rumors that he may soon leave the Raiders, Davante Adams reaffirmed that his home is in Las Vegas. Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer, the wide receiver’s representatives, refuted rumors of a trade in a statement provided to the Review-Journal.
“This is baseless, unfounded speculation and Davante is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been absolutely no trade talk – period,” added the statement. Following the premiere of the Netflix series “Receiver” on July 10, speculation over Adams’ future with the Raiders grew more intense. Throughout the 2023 season, the program tracked Adams and four other NFL players. Throughout the eight episodes of the series, Adams vented his frustrations about the Raiders’ current situation and questioned whether his career would be better spent somewhere else.
It gave rise to rumors that he might look for a trade. However, the most of the video showing Adams’ discontent was shot prior to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo being benched and coach Josh McDaniels being dismissed. After that, the Raiders went 5-4 under interim coach Antonio Pierce, who was promoted to full-time coach this summer, and rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell.
