Breaking: At The Conclusion On Deal, Auburn Tigers Has Added A High Rated 5-star Veteran To The Squad

Big Cat Weekend, Auburn football’s top recruiting event, is continuing to do its job and help the Tigers gain momentum in the recruiting process. Three Alabama-born recruits had already been added by the Tigers to their class of 2026 by midday on Saturday.

Hezekiah Harris, a four-star edge rusher from Huntsville, Alabama, was the first. Harris, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 220 pounds, is rated as the #4 edge in the 2026 recruiting class and the #2 talent from Alabama. The rising junior, who had around 20 offers, picked Auburn over a number of other schools, including Georgia, Florida State, and Oregon.

Shadarius Toodle, a 4-star linebacker from Mobile, Alabama, was the next to go. Toodle is the #4 prospect out of Alabama and the #5 linebacker in the recruiting class of 2026 at the height of 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds. Despite receiving over 30 offers from prestigious universities, Toodle decided Auburn was the right fit for him after making many trips to the Plains this year. Now that he is a member of the Tigers, he intends to begin enlisting new teammates.

Toodle stated, “I’m trying to get Tank Jones, trying to get JMike, all the guys from Alabama,” according to Auburn Undercover. “I’m remaining at home. Eagle of War.”

Anthony Jones, the top prospect out of Alabama and the #1 edge in the 2026 class, goes by “Tank,” a nickname shared by him and Toodle. Additionally, “JMike” stands for JaMichael Garrett, the third 2026 commit the Tigers have signed during Big Cat Weekend.

Garrett, a linebacker from Gulf Shores, Alabama, is 6-foot-2 and weighs 205 pounds. Garrett, who is ranked as the #7 recruit out of Alabama and the #11 linebacker in the class of 2026, visited Auburn’s campus earlier this summer and formed close bonds with the coaches. A major deciding factor for Garrett was the familial environment.

According to Auburn Live, Garrett remarked, “I love the coaches there.” “During the summer, I worked with Coach DJ Durkin for a few days. Had some time to explore the campus. Coaches Josh Aldridge, Coach Crime, and Coach Durkin get along great with me. They would challenge me to reach my full potential.

“There is no brotherhood in the country like the one at Auburn. Everybody is tight, like my high school squad. I simply feel happy when I’m there. Additionally, networking is excellent. Going there is a terrific way to prepare for life after football.

With three 2026 commits and Blake Woodby’s 2025 class commitment, Auburn football has had significant success today, but the weekend isn’t over yet. The Auburn Tigers may soon have more commits.
