Jordan Travis, a quarterback from Florida State, was selected by the New York Jets in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Despite having little draft money, Travis has high aspirations.
After his first day of rookie minicamp, Travis addressed the media on Saturday. He acknowledged that he has already given serious consideration to taking Aaron Rodgers’ place should Rodgers decide to leave the team.
According to Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post, Travis stated, “I do think about that a lot.” “But for now, all I have on my mind is where I’m at: getting well, improving everyone around me, and being a fantastic teammate.”
He’ll be spending a large portion of his rookie season recovering from that.
Before retiring, Aaron Rodgers has stated that he would like to play for a few more seasons. Travis would then have the opportunity to establish himself as a possible successor, even though few people will first view him as the next Jordan Love.
