The New York Giants face a major offseason dilemma at quarterback. While many expect them to draft a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, general manager Joe Schoen hasn’t ruled out the possibility of trading for a veteran.

With numerous quarterbacks potentially on the move this offseason, the Giants have been linked to nearly every available option.

The 33rd Team recently highlighted five surprise trade candidates, including Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murr, and suggested the Giants as a possible landing spot.

At 28, Murray offers a long-term solution compared to other veteran options like Matthew Stafford, Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, or Russell Wilson. However, acquiring Murray would likely require a substantial trade package—possibly including the third overall pick and more.

While a trade for Murray would take the Giants out of the quarterback market entirely, the likelihood of him being available remains slim. Still, it wouldn’t hurt for Schoen to explore the possibility, as unexpected deals have happened before.
